All prospective student-athletes – in women's basketball and the other 38 sports sponsored by the NCAA – should familiarize themselves with the NCAA rules governing recruiting. The links below provide helpful information for those individuals navigating the process.
Compliance with NCAA rules and regulations is a shared effort at Notre Dame, and includes everyone involved with Notre Dame Athletics: coaches, student-athletes and prospective student-athletes, the athletic administration, University administration, student-athlete and prospective student-athlete parents, and of course our many fans. Our compliance efforts begin with Notre Dame's core values of accountability, integrity, leadership in excellence, leadership in mission and teamwork. As an institution, we take great pride in playing – and succeeding – by the rules.
The five staff members in the Athletics Compliance Office at Notre Dame coordinate the University's NCAA compliance efforts and engage in ongoing education, monitoring and review of the various processes in place to promote compliance. The Compliance Staff can be reached at (574) 631-9647 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The Compliance Office website has a wealth of information for prospects, parents, student-athletes, boosters and others. If you are not in the mood to read about the rules, you can check out some of the Compliance Office videos that are posted on their website, including an anti-gambling reminder recognized by Sports Illustrated!
